SLAMTEC RPLIDARTypical Applications

SLAMTEC's RPLIDAR products cover a wide range of requirements, from basic perception to industrial-grade applications. Designed for use in various robotic and automation systems, these LiDAR sensors support environment perception, robot navigation, obstacle avoidance, and safety monitoring, providing reliable sensing data for system-level integration.
In mobile applications, LiDAR is commonly used for service robot navigation and obstacle avoidance, AGV obstacle detection and path planning, as well as environment perception for low-speed autonomous vehicles. Depending on the complexity of the operating environment and sensing requirements, different LiDAR technologies can be selected to balance cost, performance, and system stability.
Beyond mobile scenarios, LiDAR is also widely applied in perception-based systems such as area monitoring, multi-point touch detection, and large-scale interactive displays. By continuously scanning designated spaces, LiDAR enables real-time environment perception of human or object positions and behaviors, supporting interactive experiences and safety-related functions.
In industrial environments, LiDAR plays a critical role in long-term stable operation and safety assurance. It is extensively used in industrial robots, AGV systems, and area safety monitoring within factories and warehouses. With a unified LiDAR product portfolio, system integrators can flexibly select and upgrade solutions to match different application stages and environmental conditions.

LPX Series Industrial LiDARFAQ

Single-line LiDAR provides two-dimensional scan data with a simpler structure, lower cost, and lower power consumption, making it suitable for indoor mobile robots and service robots. Multi-line LiDAR captures richer three-dimensional point cloud data with stronger environmental perception, and is commonly used in autonomous driving, high-speed platforms, and complex outdoor environments.

Under standard operating conditions, RPLIDAR is designed to support approximately five years of continuous operation (24/7). Its structural design and opto-magnetic approach help reduce mechanical wear and support long-term stable performance.

SLAMTEC RPLIDAR LiDAR is designed for common operating environments of mobile robots and automation systems, and delivers stable performance in indoor and semi-outdoor scenarios. Environmental adaptability depends on factors such as lighting conditions, spatial structure, and application requirements, which should be considered during product selection.

SLAMTEC RPLIDAR has flexible integration requirements and supports common communication interfaces across most models. It can be used with mainstream embedded controllers, industrial PCs, and robotic control systems, and is supported by drivers, SDKs, and sample code for easier integration and debugging.

SLAMTEC's LiDAR products meet the compliance requirements of many common overseas markets, including CE, FCC, and KC, and are suitable for projects targeting the European, North American, and some Asian markets. Please contact us for specific certification details.
